Information We Collect

When you create a Smart Gym Pal account we collect the information you provide directly: name, email address, and the fitness profile data you enter during onboarding (age, weight, height, goals, equipment, and dietary preferences). We also collect usage data such as workout logs, weight entries, and plan generation history to power the adaptive coaching features.

How We Use Your Information

Your data is used solely to generate and improve your personalised workout and nutrition plans, track your progress, and operate the Smart Gym Pal service. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their marketing purposes.

Data Security

We protect your data with AES-256 encryption at rest and TLS in transit. Our database enforces row-level security so each user can only access their own records. Authentication uses OAuth 2.0 with short-lived JWT tokens. We conduct regular security reviews and promptly address vulnerabilities.

Data Retention and Deletion

You can export a full copy of your data or permanently delete your account at any time from within the app. Upon deletion, your personal data is removed from our live systems within 30 days and from backups within 90 days.

Cookies and Analytics

Our website uses only essential cookies required for session management. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. The app does not embed any third-party analytics SDKs that collect personal data.

GDPR and Your Rights

If you are in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom you have the right to access, correct, port, and erase your personal data. You may also object to processing or request restriction. To exercise any of these rights please contact us at privacy@smartgympal.com.

Children's Privacy

Smart Gym Pal is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or in-app notification at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use of the service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
